The Cathedral Hotel on Beacon Street is holding a baby and children’s table top sale on Sunday 29 November, from 1pm to 5pm. Entry is free, and there are 16 seller tables at £10 each for families who want to clear out outgrown clothes, toys and baby kit before Christmas.

What will be on the tables

The hotel expects pre-loved children’s clothing, toys, books, baby equipment and nursery items, sold by local parents, grandparents and carers. Its pitch is a clear-out before the new presents arrive: sellers make some Christmas money, and shoppers pick up children’s things without paying new prices.

A spokesperson for The Cathedral Hotel said:

“We all know how quickly children grow and how easily toys, clothes and baby essentials can take over the house! With Christmas fast approaching, we thought this would be a lovely opportunity for local families to have a good clear-out, make some extra money and create a little space ready for all those new toys and presents.

“It’s also a brilliant chance for shoppers to find some lovely bargains, especially at a time of year when household budgets can be stretched. We wanted to bring the community together for an event that’s affordable, practical and enjoyable for everyone.

“With free entry for visitors and seller tables at just £10, we hope lots of local families will come along, whether they’re buying, selling or doing a bit of both!”

How to book a seller table

There are 16 tables at £10 each, and the hotel advises booking early. Sellers can arrive from 12pm to set up before the doors open to shoppers at 1pm.
