Two farm grottos near Lichfield for 2026: Manor Farm Fruits at Hints is on sale for 6 to 24 December, and Rymans at Wall is £22 a child, tickets due soon.

Two farms in Lichfield district have published their 2026 Santa’s grottos: Manor Farm Fruits at Hints, which is already selling tickets for 6 to 24 December, and Rymans Farm at Wall, which has set its prices (£22 a child, £8.50 an adult) but not yet opened booking.

Everything here comes from each organiser’s own website, checked on 3 October 2026. Grottos sell out early and organisers add dates as they go, so this page will be updated through November.

The quick answer

  • On sale now: Manor Farm Fruits, Hints, weekends and selected dates from 6 to 24 December, pre-booked tickets only.
  • Prices set, booking soon: Rymans Farm, Wall, selected dates until 20 December, child £22 including a wrapped gift, adult £8.50.
  • Not announced yet: Chasewater Railway’s Santa trains and any grotto at the Lichfield Garrick.

Manor Farm Fruits, Hints

The fruit farm on Watling Street at Hints, B78 3DF, runs three Santa visits in December, all by pre-booked slot (Manor Farm Fruits):

  • Santa’s Grotto Walk-Through Experience. Children help the elves in the mail room, meet Mrs Claus and see Father Christmas to check the nice list, then swap a golden ticket for a gift from the workshop. Every child takes home a bookmark, a gift, reindeer food for Christmas Eve and a jingle bell tree decoration.
  • Santa in his Cosy Cabin. A shorter meet and greet; children get a golden ticket to exchange for a gift at the Cabin Toy Stall.
  • Santa Paws. The Cosy Cabin visit for families bringing their dog.

The farm says the grotto is open on weekends and selected dates between 6 and 24 December, and that tickets are on sale now. Pre-booking is essential: the farm does not sell general admission on grotto dates without a grotto booking. Your ticket time is your arrival time at admissions, not the moment you meet Santa, and slots are sold in 15-minute blocks. Prices vary by date and are shown only in the booking system (book).

Rymans Farm, Wall

Rymans, the family farm at Manor Farm, Wall, WS14 0AH, which also sells Christmas trees from late November, is running a Santa’s Grotto (Rymans Farm):

  • An elf workshop and storytime, then a private visit to Father Christmas for one family or group at a time.
  • Child (1 to 11 years): £22, including a wrapped gift to keep. Accompanying adult: £8.50, and every adult needs a ticket. Under-1s free, with a gift available as an add-on.
  • Sessions last an hour. Arrive ten minutes before your slot; sessions run to time.
  • Pushchairs can come in with you and the trail is wheelchair accessible.

The farm’s page gives the dates as “selected dates throughout November and December until 20th December”, while its headline reads “December weekends”, and it says tickets are “available soon”. Exact days and times will be on its DigiTickets page when booking opens. Enquiries go to sales@rymanschristmas.co.uk.

Not announced yet

  • Chasewater Railway, at Brownhills West on the Burntwood edge of Chasewater, still carries its 2025 Hospital Santa Charity Trains on its events page, but listed no 2026 Santa trains on 3 October.
  • Lichfield Garrick: the theatre’s 2026 box office has no Santa’s grotto listed so far. Its Christmas show is the pantomime, Robin Hood, from 20 November; see our panto page.

We will add both if they publish dates.

Getting there

Wall is just off the A5 and the A5127 into Lichfield, and Hints is on the A5 towards Tamworth. Neither farm’s Christmas page gives parking details yet. For a day in the city, our parking in Lichfield page has the car parks and tariffs, and the roadworks and travel page carries closures.
