Citizens Advice South East Staffs holds its AGM at the Lichfield Garrick on Thursday 26 November at 6pm, and everyone is welcome. Updated November 2026.
Citizens Advice South East Staffs will hold its annual general meeting in The Studio at the Lichfield Garrick on Thursday 26 November at 6pm, and everyone is welcome.
Doors open at 5.30pm for refreshments. The charity, known locally as CASES, is promising something other than a run through the accounts. “Alongside the statutory updates, we will be showcasing the amazing work that CASES do in a light hearted and fun way,” it says.
Its poster calls the evening an “AGM with a difference” and keeps the details back: “All to be revealed on the night!”

What the charity is doing this winter
The meeting falls in a busy few months for CASES. Its Burntwood office, Wade House in Chase Terrace, closed on 2 November for a refurbishment of the ground floor, part funded by Severn Trent Water, and is due to reopen in January 2027. The charity says the work will pave the way for drop-in advice sessions to return there.
“When someone comes to us, they may be worried about money, struggling with bills or facing a difficult situation. We want them to feel welcome and comfortable asking for help,” Wendy Dee, chief executive of CASES, said.
Advisers are also going out to villages. There are drop-in sessions at The Vine Methodist Church in Handsacre on the third Wednesday of each month, with the next two on 18 November and 16 December, 11am to 2pm.
The charity is also offering free help with energy costs, for individuals and for community groups: how to book an appointment or a group session.
